I am a graduate student who will be pursuing my Master of Science in Accounting at George Mason University (GMU) in Fall 2017. I plan on pursuing the Fraud/Forensics track at GMU in hopes of also obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Accounting. I have received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting and Finance, with a concentration in Professional Accounting, at Old Dominion University in May 2017. I am currently studying for the CPA exam in order to obtain my license to become a Certified Public Accountant.
I am interested in beginning my career in public accounting as an auditor. In the future, I would like to focus more on fraud and forensics and obtain my CFE. However, I do realize that my career path is not carved in stone and I am open-minded to experiences that may lead me down another career path.
