This committee oversees the administration, acceptance, and completion of peer reviews performed in Virginia and the District of Columbia. The committee monitors the performance of reviewers and firms and when appropriate prescribes and monitors the completion of effective corrective actions. Because of its high visibility and importance, this is a highly selective volunteer opportunity.
What volunteers gain: Volunteers gain leadership experience and the opportunity to enhance their expertise in professional standards and accounting and auditing standards.
Term limits and Renewal: Chair and vice chair serve two-year terms in each position. There are no term limits for members. Renewal is based on participation and interest.
Expect one face-to-face meeting in Richmond every two years, and monthly conference calls as needed.
