The Young Professional Advisory Council (YPAC) is a strategic task force that makes recommendations regarding enhancing the value proposition of the young professional member segment to impact member engagement. The YPAC will help you make the connections that will open doors and build your career. This group provides opportunities for young professionals to develop leadership skills that will enable them to gain credibility and stand out in their career.
As a Young Professional Advisory Council member you will:
• Make connections that matter with other young professionals at events
• Expand your leadership toolkit at Leaders’ Summit
• Give back to the profession at through volunteerism & advocacy work
• Sharpen your presentation skills by speaking to Virginia accounting students
• Guide the VSCPA in providing value to young CPAs and shaping the future of the profession
Expect one in-person meeting in Richmond as well as two to three conference calls. Members who are 40 years old and younger & college graduates are preferred for selection.
If you volunteer between May 1, 2018 – April 30, 2019, you will be invited to attend the Leaders’ Summit on May 16–17, 2019 in Richmond. This free, invitation-only conference is open exclusively to VSCPA volunteers and other leaders to provide essential training and information to help you lead our organization into the future.
