This Committee investigates potential disciplinary matters involving VSCPA members and arbitrates professional or ethical differences between members. Committee members conduct initial investigations and refer matters to the AICPA as appropriate. Meetings will be held via conference call on an as needed basis. Because of its high visibility and importance, this is a highly selective volunteer opportunity; members with previous experience in ethics matters and no history of ethics violations are preferred for selection. In addition, peer references, recommendations and a criminal background check may be requested.
