Who We Are: Henrico Community Food Bank ( HCFB ) will be the primary food distribution organization centrally
located in Henrico County. “Connect Feed Nourish” illustrates the shared vision between the founding members of
HCFB to ensure equitable food access of nutritious, healthy food for county residents.
Where We Serve: Serving the residents of Henrico county.
Who We Serve: Dedicated to serving anyone in need of emergency food assistance in Henrico County.
How We Serve: HCFB will serve 4000 Henrico families, 200 seniors, and 1,200 kids each month and focus on the
following core programs:
● Food Pantry - The in-house Food Pantry will distribute perishables and 200 family boxes to Henrico
residents 5 times a week ( weekday and weekend ) to allow working families equal access to food.
● The Weekend Meal Program - The program will distribute 300 backpacks each week to Henrico elementary
schools. Bags will contain non-perishable food for children that meet federal guidelines providing
supplemental nourishment to eligible children for the weekend.
● Senior Grocery Delivery Program - HCFB will deliver 50 perishable and non-grocery boxes each week for
Henrico County homebound seniors in need of food assistance.
Mission: To provide access to nutritious food in an equitable and dignified manner to those in need.
