Sharon works directly with the Board of Directors and Executive Committee to help set the strategic direction of the association. In addition to working with the Taxation Committee, she represents the membership with the State Board of CPA Examiners and other professional entities. Sharon is a Past President of the Association Executives of North Carolina, and former member of the AICPA National Commission on Diversity & Inclusion. She currently serves as a member of the NC State University Masters of Accountancy Advisory Board, and on the East Carolina University Business Advisory Board. Sharon also enjoys volunteer work focusing on adoption. More than anything, Sharon loves spending time with her husband, Keith, and their son, Matthew. Sharon received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, so—of course—she's a big Tar Heel fan!
