Bio

My professional experience consists of positions in public and corporate accounting. My initial focus was on financial accounting and auditing, serving with public accounting firms as an audit manager, and as director of internal audit for the B.F. Saul Companies for over seven years. My focus for the past 15 years is on taxation. I managed a tax compliance group for KPMG in McLean and moved to Ernst & Young, LLP as a senior manager to be part of a team developing a corporate tax outsourcing practice. Presently, I am a senior tax director for a publicly traded company, USA Mobility, Inc., in Springfield, Virginia.

I have been involved with various Non Profit Organizations over the years and I am presently the Treasurer of the 25th Infantry Division Memorial Fund (I served in the 25 Infantry Division during Vietnam) and the President of the 25th Infantry Division Association.

I’m an adjunct professor at the University of Virginia School of Continuing and Professional Studies where I teach online tax courses and George Mason University where I teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I taught at the Becker CPA Review for 20 years until the year 2000.

I’m a Virginia CPA, a CMA and CGMA.

I’m married with two grown children and one magnificent granddaughter.
